Notes

Ntolerance have a Cicada Site Ecommerce website with customised product pages, launched October 2004.

Since launch the website visitor numbers and online sales have ?plateau?ed and require a boost.

Part of the reason for this is suspected to be the inability to maintain the website on the first page of Google. This is because searches for keywords such as Gluten and Lactose etc, also bring up many scientific and medical websites in the results.

New customers who have answered ?where they heard about Ntolerance? have mostly said from search engines.

Summary of Requirements

Ntolerance needs to be on the first page of Google for keyword searches including:

  • Gluten
  • Lactose
  • Gluten free
  • Lactose free
  • Dairy free


Cicada Solution

The focus of this solution was to get the Ntolerance website onto the first page of Google by whatever means necesary. If the regular search engine optimisation strategies were not working then creating an Adwords account was the next option.

  • Review major pages for optimisation with Google Search Engine on revised keyword list
  • Set up Google Adwords campaign for Ntolerance on revised keyword list

  • Increase in website unique visitors ? 148% (Chart 1)
  • Increase in online sales - 104% (Chart 1)
  • Increase in monthly average of new online customers who say they found the site via a search engine ? 213% (Chart 2)
  • Increase in new online customers each month ? 158% (Chart 3)

Note. The Cicada Adwords Solution played a major part in achieving these results but cannot be considered as the only factor. The inclusion of Ntolerance in a magazine article in March also contributed to the websites performance as highlighted in Chart 2.
